Don't Blink

I've been away from livejournal for a while but I had to stop by and show you all my latest creation. She's a weeping angel.  The photos don't do her justice.  She is the newest addition to our annual free spook house.  She joins my dalek and ood in the Doctor Who section.  Anyone in the vacinity of Syracuse NY we will be open 6pm to 9pm Friday and Saturday and Halloween.  207 Stonecrest Drive Dewitt

Speculations and probably nonsense

Under the cut I am putting some spoilers and spolierey thoughts about season 6 more specifically Episode 4.

My awesome New York City Adventure

My husband and I went to the Doctor Who Season 6 premier yesterday in New York city.   I had a fantastic time.   It was awesome!
Adventures ahead with photos...Collapse )

I love my husband he's the best!

I mentioned the Doctor Who showing in New York City next Monday to my husband and how great it would be to go and he said why don't we?  I almost passed out.  He said see if your brother is off Monday so he could watch the kids and put them on the school bus Tuesday morning, and we could probably go.
I never go to anything!   My brother IS off so we can go!  I can't believe it!  It's a 4 1/2 hr drive.  I think we are going down and back without staying over.  I've done longer drives by myself.  I once drove to Boston (6 hrs one way) and back in one day.
We'll see the first 2 episodes and then there is a Q and A with Matt Smith, Karen Gillan, Arthur Darvill, Alex Kingston, and Steven Moffat.  No autograph sessions but they will be there on stage.  How cool is that.  I never do anything like this!  Like I said my husband is awesome for suggesting it because he knows how much it will mean to me.  I just figured that because of the kids have school and it is 4 1/2 hrs away(gas is expensive for the minivan)  and money is tight it was out of the rhelm of possibility.   But he knows me.  I love him!
Now how do we make Much Ado About Nothing in London work?  That aint gonna happen.

Late posting Christmas gifts I made

I have 2 dear friends that love Doctor Who.  Money being really tight this year I decided to make sweatshirts.  The photos don't do them justice.  I think they turned out fantastic! Read more...Collapse )

Photos from "Whoville"

Our spook house was a pretty good success, despite the weather.  There were snow flakes and hail in the air Halloween on and off.  My husband laughingly calls the Doctor Who section "Whoville".  We have the dalek Bob, who is new this year, and the nameless ood from last year.  The cyberman and TARDIS front.  There is one photo of me, my cat daughter,(I tried to get her to dress as novice Hame, but no deal) and pikachu, my son.

I'm kicking this Dalek's butt now!

I'm getting so close now.  I finally took photos.  Please ignore the mess around it.  We stacked all the parts and it's close to 6 feet tall.  I have to say it's an awesome feeling.  I just wish I felt better physically.  My back is killing me.  I have a little more painting to do and a little detail work.  But for the most part it is done.  I still have to make it's weapons.  My husband is impressed, hell I'm impressed.  Just thought I'd share.

My 10 year old daughter likes this cartoon called Invader Zim.  She is an aspiring cartoonist.  She drew a cross-over cartoon of Invader Zim / Doctor Who.  I love it but then I'm her Mom.  Just thought I'd post it.
 Here it isCollapse )
